A Multi-Day Sailing Adventure Through the Whitsundays
The Mandrake Experience
Mandrake is a purpose-built adventure yacht — stable, comfortable, and perfectly suited to small-group sailing in the Whitsundays.
With just 12 guests onboard, every trip feels personal. Conversations are easier, moments feel shared, and guests often leave feeling like they’ve been part of something special — not just another tour.
This is eco-tourism done properly: real experiences, real contribution, real connection.
Cruise the Whitsundays
Step aboard Mandrake and sail through turquoise waters into the heart of the Whitsunday Islands. Over two nights, you’ll experience the region’s most iconic natural highlights:
-
Walk the world-famous Whitehaven Beach
-
Visit the swirling sands of Hill Inlet Lookout
-
Snorkel vibrant Great Barrier Reef fringing reefs
-
Spot turtles, rays, reef fish and giant clams
-
Learn how we monitor and protect reef health through the Eye on the Reef program
Snorkel locations vary with conditions to ensure the best experience and reef protection. Sites may include Stonehaven, Manta Ray Bay, Blue Pearl Bay, Butterfly Bay, or quiet coral gardens teeming with life.
Onboard, you’re welcome to help hoist sails and learn basic sailing skills — or simply relax on deck and take it all in.
Evenings are slow and special: golden sunsets, shared meals, stargazing, and the gentle sway of the ocean.
This is the Whitsundays — without the rush.
Protect the Reef While You Explore
Mandrake isn’t just a sailing trip — it’s a chance to actively contribute to protecting the Great Barrier Reef.
Our crew are trained through the Eye on the Reef program, in partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. During your snorkeling sessions, you’ll be gently guided through:
-
Identifying coral species and reef health indicators
-
Spotting and recording turtles, rays, fish and other marine life
-
Understanding how tides, temperature and conditions affect reef ecosystems
-
Contributing observations to real conservation data
Using simple, guest-friendly tools, you’ll help log what you see — supporting long-term reef monitoring and protection efforts.
Eco-tourism made meaningful. Every guest makes an impact.
