Whitsundays Wildlife in March: What You Can Expect to See

March is prime time for spotting Green, Hawksbill, and Loggerhead turtles as they gracefully glide through the water. Contrary to popular belief, the small reef sharks found in the Whitsundays—such as blacktip and whitetip reef sharks—are harmless and often seen resting on sandy bottoms or cruising the coral reefs. Other incredible marine life you might spot includes clownfish, Maori wrasse, giant trevally, and even the occasional dugong!
