Exploring the Best of Whitsunday Islands: A Memorable Sailing Experience with OzSail Whitsundays onboard Avatar Vessel

We would like to share with you the amazing experience of one of our customers who recently went on a 2-day, 2-night sailing adventure with OzSail Whitsundays onboard the Avatar vessel.

Sarah’s experience:
Located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsunday Islands are a true paradise on earth, boasting some of the most incredible natural wonders and breathtaking views you can imagine. And what better way to explore this stunning region than on a sailing trip, enjoying the calm waters, sunny skies, and warm breezes that make this part of Australia so special?

Our customer, who goes by the name of Sarah, was lucky enough to embark on this adventure, and she shared with us some of her favourite moments and highlights from the trip.

First and foremost, Sarah was blown away by the snorkelling locations that they visited during the trip. The Whitsunday Islands are home to some of the most diverse and abundant marine life in the world, and the crystal-clear waters provide the perfect environment to explore and observe this stunning ecosystem up close.

Sarah recounted how they visited several different snorkelling spots throughout the trip, each one offering a unique and unforgettable experience. From swimming alongside schools of colourful fish and marvelling at the intricate coral formations, to spotting giant clams and even swimming with friendly turtles, the snorkelling adventure was one of the absolute highlights of the trip for Sarah.

But the fun didn’t stop there. Sarah also had the opportunity to visit two of the most iconic destinations in the Whitsunday Islands: Whitehaven Beach and Tongue Bay, home to the famous Hill Inlet lookout.

Whitehaven Beach is widely considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with its soft, powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Sarah described how they spent several hours on the beach, soaking up the sun and taking in the stunning views of the surrounding islands and coastline.

But it was Tongue Bay and the Hill Inlet lookout that truly took Sarah’s breath away. The lookout offers a panoramic view of the swirling sands and clear waters of the inlet below, creating an optical illusion that has to be seen to be believed. Sarah described the view as nothing short of spectacular, with shades of blue and green merging and mixing in the most mesmerizing way possible.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the fantastic crew and skipper onboard the Avatar vessel. Sarah spoke highly of their professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness throughout the trip, describing how they went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had an unforgettable experience.

Whether it was providing detailed explanations of the different marine life and ecosystems that they encountered, offering expert advice on the best snorkelling techniques, or simply sharing their love and passion for the Whitsunday Islands, the crew and skipper played an essential role in making the trip as incredible as it was.
