Whitsunday Island Anchorages
Whitsunday Island offers many safe harbours for the OzSail fleet. On the Eastern side are Apostle and Tongue Bays, with their surrounding cliffs offering great postcard photo opportunities.

Tongue Bay has a walking track across Tongue Point to Hill Inlet, and the sight of this majestic sandy estuary winding deep into Whitsunday Island will be remembered for a long time. There is also a track leading to a viewing deck where panoramic views of Whitehaven Beach, Solway Passage and Chalkies Beach unfold to the south.
On the Western side of Whitsunday Island is Cid Harbour, protected by surrounding peaks including Whitsunday Peak, rising some 437 metres above the harbour.
Cid Harbour offers some great opportunities for beach activities and exploring. |
